By accessing or using the Ranger platform, website, mobile application, or services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing our Services.
These Terms of Service apply to all users of the Services, including without limitation users who are browsers, customers, professionals, and/ or contributors of content.
Important: These Terms contain a mandatory arbitration provision that requires the use of arbitration on an individual basis to resolve disputes, rather than jury trials or class actions.
To access certain features of our Services, you must register for an account. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our Services. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if any information provided during registration or thereafter proves to be inaccurate, false, or misleading.
Ranger provides a platform that connects customers seeking home services with independent professionals who provide those services. Ranger is not a provider of home services and does not employ professionals.
Booking Process
- Customers may book services through the platform by selecting a service, choosing a professional, and confirming the booking
- Professionals are independent contractors, not employees of Ranger
- Ranger does not guarantee the quality, timing, or performance of any services provided by professionals
- Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about the service needed
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation policies vary by professional and service type. Generally:

Some professionals may have different cancellation policies, which will be clearly displayed before booking.
You agree to pay all charges incurred through your account at the prices in effect when such charges are incurred.
Service Fees
Ranger charges a service fee for use of the platform. This fee is calculated as a percentage of the service cost and is displayed before confirming your booking.
Payment Processing
- Payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors
- You authorize Ranger to charge your chosen payment method for all applicable fees
- All payments are due immediately and are non-refundable except as expressly provided in these Terms
- If your payment method is declined, we may attempt to process the charge again
Refunds
Refunds may be issued in the following circumstances:
- Service not performed as booked
- Service not completed to satisfactory standards (as determined by Ranger)
- Cancellation within the allowed timeframe
All refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of service completion.
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Violating any applicable law or regulation
- Harassing, abusing, or harming another person
- Providing false or misleading information
- Interfering with or disrupting the Services
- Attempting to circumvent any security or access controls
- Using the Services for any fraudulent or unlawful purpose
- Impersonating another user or person
- Copying, storing, or accessing any information on the Services for purposes not permitted
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any portion of the Services
Professional Conduct: Professionals agree to provide services in a professional manner, with reasonable skill and care, and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Our Services allow you to post, link, store, share, and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material ("Content"). You are responsible for the Content that you post to the Services, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.
By posting Content to the Services, you grant us the right and license to use, modify, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, and distribute such Content on and through the Services.
You retain any and all of your rights to any Content you submit, post, or display on or through the Services, and you are responsible for protecting those rights.
The Services and their original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Ranger and its licensors. The Services are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both South Africa and foreign countries.
Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Ranger.
You may not use any meta tags or other "hidden text" utilizing Ranger's name or trademarks without our express written consent.
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Services or contact us to delete your account.
All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
